Toshiba has left it pretty late to enter the already burgeoning netbook market, but the company has certainly come up with a stylish addition.
The NB100 houses a 8.9-inch widescreen TruBrite display (1024 x 600), up to 1GB RAM and up to 120GB hard drive storage.
There's also Wi-Fi connectivity – obviously as it is a netbook – three USB ports and it even acts as a charger for your MP3 player and the like, thanks to the Sleep-and-Charge technology.
Colour option

To be eligible, publishers must generate a minimum of 500,000 game plays per day and receive at least 80% of their traffic from the U.S. or the U.K.
Google on Wednesday began offering a limited number of online game publishers the opportunity to earn ad revenue by participating in a beta test of its AdSense advertising program for games.
"As a beta user of AdSense for Games, you can display video ads, image ads, or text ads within your online games to earn revenue," Google ad product marketing manager Ryan Hayward said in a blog post. "You'll be able to show these ads in placements you define, such as interstitial frames before a game, after a level change, or when a game is over.

Looj Gutter Cleaning Robot
We were very skeptical that the Looj would be able to get our gutters anything close to clean. Household robotic machines, after all, are best at routine tasks like making coffee or grinding the beans to put into the coffee maker. Cleaning our gutters is anything but predictable. There aren’t only loose leaves up there but packed pine needles, twigs, rodents (both alive and not), sticks, mud, Frisbees and an old set of our car keys.
Enter the Looj, a miniature light-weight tank-like device fronted by a bristle capable of rotating at 500 RPM. The Looj’s handle doubles as the remote control. So cleaning your gutters is, theoretically, simply a matter of climbing up a ladder to your roof (the Looj comes with a belt clip so you can use both hands to climb), placing the device in the gutter, detaching the handle and using the remote control to send your Looj back and forth. This is also how it worked for us in reality — mostly.
The Looj is excellent at anything loose no matter the size. It had a harder time completely cleaning out anything that was packed down, especially mud. It did clear out some of the mud, enough to allow for the free flow of water (which is the point of cleaning the gutters, no?), but not as much as we would have doing the job by hand.
Then again, using the Looj is much faster than cleaning by hand. The ideal solution would be to use a Looj to clean your gutters more often than you would by hand, preventing anything from getting packed down to begin with. Now if only they’d back a robot to clean our windows.

he Derringer motorized bicycles have a sort of back-to-the-future thing happening. The look is 1920s retro, complete with a brown leather seat and tall white tires. But the engine at the frame’s center is pure modern technology. It’s a 4-stroke, 49cc motor capable of switching instantly between the three modes of operation: full power, engine assisted pedaling, and full manual pedaling. In full power mode the Derringer is works like a motorcycle and is capable of traveling as fast as 40 mph (65 kph) while getting up to 150 mpg. In pedal assisted mode the gas mileage can be as high as 180 mph. That makes the Derringer a way to get around that’s as fuel efficient as it is cool. $3,500

“Elegant design” and “Microsoft” not words that go together. Yet somehow they’ve managed to meet up in the Arch Mouse. This wireless mouse is looks futuristic and, well, beautiful, while sitting on a desk in the open position.
The Arch Mouse is beautiful to use too. Its laser tracking works on a variety surfaces. We usually use ours directly on a wooden desktop but have also found success on a tablecloth, pillow and our pant leg. The Arc Mouse’s shape is highly ergonomic, conforming perfectly to a medium-sized fingers (though people with especially large hands will find it less comfortable) We are skeptical of Microsoft’s claim that the Arc Mouse can be effectively used 30 feet (9 meters) from it’s wireless USB receiver but then we are also skeptical that anyone would want to scroll around on their computer screen from so far away. The Arc Mouse folds in half, making it perfect for travel; it comes with a carry case. And it even works with Macs.

"Are you certain that your web site is optimized for high visibility in search engines?", Do you know the answer if i were to ask you "What position in the major search engines does your site appear in for your target search terms?" Or "Does each page of your site have tailored Title and META Tags?" If you would answer "No" or "I don't know" to any of these questions, you would be amongst the 60% of web site owners whose web sites are missing out on traffic because they are not designed for search engine compatibility.
But what exactly is search engine optimization? Simply explained, it is the technique of attaining a high ranking in search engines and directories via changes to your site code to make it more search engine compatible. In my experience, web designers keep a lot of secrets. One of the biggest ones is that they have no clue about what makes a web site compatible with search engines. Another is that they like to build expensive, flashy sites and so convince their clients that an attractive web site never uses a lot of text. So your web designer may have included target keywords and phrases in your Title tag and META tags (in the HTML code of your site). They may even have explained to you that these are very important references that search engines use when ranking web sites for search relevancy.
I've met many a web designer who claimed that this was all it took to optimize a web site. But did you know that you need to tailor your Title and META tags for each page of your site? Did you know that optimizing your site meta tags is only a tiny fraction of the job? Did you know that search engines actually need to find target keywords within the visible body text on your site pages in order to find it a relevant match for related search queries? Did you know that they also need to find those same keywords and phrases used within the text links that help people navigate your pages? It's true. For search engines to rank your site highly for particular words or phrases that you would expect potential visitors to type in, each individual page of your site MUST be built with those words and phrases in mind. Better still, build and optimize a page for each product or service that you offer. That way, if anyone types in those phrases in a search engine, your site is more likely to appear higher in the search results. Can you honestly say your web designer has built your site with your target search terms in mind?
So why wasn't your site optimized for search engines when it was built? Depending on who developed your site and how it was built, you'll find a million different reasons for this. Most don't bother checking that your site is found in the important search engines, assuming you or your marketing department will do it. Or perhaps it wasn't discussed in your original development budget. Not many web design firms know how or have time to optimize a site successfully, no matter what they tell you. They might feel it is outside their core business, or they might believe it is not part of the "design process". Consequently, your site can be launched for many months without the search engines having any idea it exists. Some web development firms don't include even the most basic META tags in your site code when building it. Or those that do include META tags without close consultation with you, resulting in the wrong search terms used and poor performance. This is quite typical!
Remember that search engine optimization requires both client interaction and constant monitoring to be successful. The bottom line? If your designer can't show you substantial search engine traffic they've achieved for other clients, chances are they won't be able to optimize your site properly. Search engine optimization (SEO) specialists have sprung up to fill the need for these services. My suggestion is to pay a little more for a specialist with a good track record and reap the rewards. Remember, search engine users generally only explore the first 10 or 20 search results. If you site isn't in the top 20, you won't be found, it's as simple as that. Always include search engine optimization into your marketing budget or your site could be as effective as a billboard at the end of a dead end street.

Acer unveiled on Wednesday its first WiMax-enabled notebooks in support of the first WiMax wireless network in the United States - Baltimore’s XOHM network. The Intel Centrino 2-based Aspire 4930-6862 and Aspire 6930-6771 notebooks are the first to use Intel’s new WiMax/Wi-Fi module, previously codenamed Echo Peak.
The Acer Aspire 4930-6862 and Aspire 6930-6771 both seem to be well rounded notebooks and share similar system specifications. The only apparent difference between the two is that the Aspire 4930-6862 features a 14.1-inch WXGA (1280 x 800) LCD display, while the Aspire 6930-6771 features a larger 16-inch WXGA (1366 x 768) LCD display.
